OUR SUNDAY MINISTRY TO CHILDREN:
Legacy Beginnings is a safe and fun time for children to experience the gospel in age-appropriate way. Upon arrival, children can be signed in to a class for their appropriate grade level. Children then join the rest of the family in the auditorium for singing, prayers, and readings during the first part of our gathering.
Once the children are dismissed, they are received into their classes for a fun time of instruction under the care of our trained and background checked ministry staff.
After dismissal, parents or guardians can sign out their child(ren) and chat with their respective teachers about what the students have studied that day. Our goal is to be an ally in every family’s efforts to disciple children in the truth of the gospel.

STUDENT MINISTRY VISION STATEMENT
· Make sure our students know the Gospel of Christ and that they desperately need to be saved from God’s wrath for their sins through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
· To help our students know the God of the Bible through saturated biblical lessons that will also help them connect the truths and beauty of God to their daily lives in practical ways.
· Encourage our students to express their adoration and worship of God through a time of singing hymns and songs that tell of God’s worthiness, glory, and work of redemption.
· To create a safe and welcoming environment for all students between the ages of 11-18 to build relationships with God and each other. Our recreational time mostly takes place before and after our time of worship and study and about every six weeks, when we get together to play, hang out, and build friendships.

At our church, Community Groups serve as the means by which this local body savors and lives out the great joys of being part of God’s family as we serve in His Kingdom and strive to make disciples of all nations.
- As His children who live and care for each other as family, we set aside regular time to study God’s word; taking responsibility for our own discipleship and the discipleship of others.
- We regularly pray together for God’s Kingdom to be present in our lives to help us eagerly serve our Community Groups and those we are sent to as a demonstration of the Gospel by intentionally blessing others through words, gifts and actions.
- We also regularly share meals with each other and invite friends into the community of God as we live actively as missionaries sent by Jesus to make disciples.
- We strive to understand, experience, and intersect with God’s story as we take time to rest, play, create, and restore beauty in order to reflect God to others and celebrate God’s extravagant blessings in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
It’s our prayer and hope that every covenant member of Legacy Church enjoy and invest in a Community Group where expressions of God’s love and will for His children are realized and shared in Christ. It’s also our hope that visiting friends would experience God’s Kingdom and the power of His Gospel whenever they attend any of our gatherings.
Proverbs 27:17
WHEN OUR CHURCH COMES TOGETHER WE SEEK TO DO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Give thanks
- Call upon Jesus
- Make known his deeds
- Sing praises to him
- Glory in the Name of Christ
- Seek the Lord and his strength
- Seek nearness to his presence
- Remember his works, miracles, and judgments
Worship reflects four areas as we prepare all of ourselves:
Our Love, Our Mind, Our Hands, Our Life.
Our Love, Our Mind, Our Hands, Our Life.
Our Love
God desires to be served alone. He is jealous for our affections as believers. He is the only thing in the universe that is worthy of worship, thus he is being kind, fair, and holy when he calls us to worship him. All the things that we place our affections and hopes in are called idols. Our struggle with the worship of God is getting our hearts to place the correct affections on God alone. The only hope for our love being righteous is if we trust in the work of Jesus to carry our affections to a holy God. Thank God that he has sent Jesus to mediate between us and God.

Our Hands
Our goal as a team is to bring talented musicians to sing and make melodies. How we play matters. We are very protective with our stage and those that worship before the people. They must be faithful attendees of Legacy, committed to a Connect Group, and also go through an audition, attending a month of practices without playing, and a discussion with their family about worship. We believe that the body is served with great skill and great hearts. It is reassuring that our church will not place a person on the stage that would seek to steal glory from the Lord. We believe that God is not looking for something brilliant, but something broken. Our hands seek to provide an undistracting excellence because skill is a gift from God and he should be praised for it.

Our Life
"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
(1 Timothy 4:12)
God desires holy lives seeking to bring him glory each and every single day. What a wreck if we stand in the presence of a holy God and sing songs about him, then leave completely unchanged by such a love. As believers we set the example of holy living. We do this by ourspeech in our homes, jobs, and among our communities. Ultimately our worship is not defined by our songs, but by our lives. Our conductmust be pure and holy so that we are not misrepresenting Christ. We must set the example in love, in faith, and in purity. We know that Jesus has purified our hearts and it is ultimately by his life and death that we can seek God with a holy life. Though frail and often failing – we trust that Christ is perfecting our worship as the High Priest of Heaven intercedes for us.
